The Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy was co-founded in 1998 by Valerie Cooksley and Laraine Pounds, who have collaborated for years to achieve the vision of bringing Integrative Aromatherapy® to the forefront of nursing today. With more than 50 years of combined experience, they bring a unique “hybrid” of expertise to this comprehensive course as both experienced aromatherapy practitioners and RN educators.
Both co-founders and instructors are accomplished nurse educators and expert clinical aromatherapists who have collaborated to co-author the Integrative Aromatherapy® Certificate Program. Each instructor possesses individual teaching strengths and distinctive knowledge, and will facilitate the best education experience for the student under their mentorship.
